Josiah started his obsession with ceramics in high school, but began to pursue it intentionally in 2020. Inspired by mid-century modern design and Japanese pottery, he creates unique pieces that tell a story while remaining practical. "There is nothing like your favorite mug. Trust me, I have so many of them." In addition to creating pottery available for purchase, Josiah handcrafted many of the cafe's defining elements: every ceramic coffee vessel, the pendant lights above the bar, several lamps, and planters.
